"Hanalei Last Call" was painted from photos I took near the Hanalei Pier in January. After all the day-trippers clear out and go to nearby eateries after a long day of fun, the locals show up to grab a ride or two before sundown. This vision of the red tail-lights down at the beach are known worldwide to folks who frequent surfing locations.For me, it tells of the abiding connection many of us have to our own home ground.
